Air temperatures and <br /> humidity are expected to be in a relatively comfortable range during <br /> spring and because the physical work will be light to moderate, no <br /> undue stress should be encountered even with protective equipment on. <br /> Because of the above, no heat or cold stress monitoring is necessary. <br /> 6.3 Safety Training <br /> As a minimum, field personnel must receive training in the use and <br /> care of respirators and attend a site-specific safety orientation <br /> seminar, conducted by a qualified individual. The seminar agenda <br /> shall include (1) a briefing on the work to be performed and the work <br /> schedule, (2) a discussion of the potential chemical and physical <br /> hazards associated with the work to be performed, (3) hazard <br /> identification, (4) purpose and limitations of personal protective <br /> equipment, (5) decontamination and emergency response procedures, and <br /> (6) proper on-site conduct. <br /> Personnel, who have not been fit tested to respirators assigned to <br /> them, must be fit tested in accordance with procedures described in "A <br /> Guide to Industrial Respiration Protection" (Pritchard, J.A. 1976, <br /> NIOSH). <br /> 7.0 CONTAMINATION MONITORING <br /> No contamination monitoring is necessary. Site Safety officer will <br /> determine if respirators are required during cement coring. <br />
