All soil sampling equipment was thoroughly washed with TSP
solution and rinsed before and between sampling to prevent-cross contamination_
The laboratory soil samples did not have head space and were immediately sealed
in their liners using aluminum foil lined plastic caps that were taped in place. The
samples were then transferred to an ice chest containing blue ice and transported
immediately to Geo-Monitor Laboratories; a California State certified laboratory,
under chain of custody.
The soil samples were analyzed using EPA method GCl~ID 3550/8015 for total
petroleum hydrocarbons in the diesel range, method 5030 for gasoline, and EPA
! method 8020 for volatile organics including BTX&E.
rl
