File No. 20-2949-11
W-1 K1Ei1EELD,R
December 20, 1990
Reference is made to Plate I of this report which shows
the location of the proposed parcel split site. Currently,
the majority of the site area consists of almond orchards
with scattered farm houses. Four residences belonging to
Phillips family members are located on the subject
property.
On July 20, 1990, a representative of our firm visited 5
residences located off Coelho, Union, and Lovelace Roads .
The purpose of our visits was to obtain information on
septic system use and to inquire about any problems known
to exist with this method of sewage disposal . None of the
5 residences visited reported having problems with the
performance of their septic systems. However, Mr. Fisher
(location 5 on Plate I) indicated they had a faulty tank
replaced. The ages of the septic systems were reported to
be from 2 to 30 years old. No water quality problems were
reported from residences with domestic wells.
ITEM C-2:
"Suitability of soil for development utilizing septic systems. "
On July 23 , 1990, a representative of our firm drilled and
set-up 1 3-foot deep percolation test hole at the proposed
parcel I. The test hole was drilled with hand drilling
equipment using a 6-inch diameter continuous-flight auger.
Perforated PVC pipe was inserted the entire length of the
test hole to prevent disturbance when adding water. The
test hole was filled with relatively clean water and left
to soak overnight.
Copyright 1990 Kleinfelder, Inc. 2
