The provisions set forth in this SSHSP apply to all contractors and subcontractors (field <br /> personnel). Subcontractors may elect to modify these provisions, but only to upgrade or <br /> increase safety activities. This SSHSP may not thoroughly address all hazards <br /> associated with any specialized subcontractor operations; in this situation, <br /> subcontractors shall be responsible for developing their own Health and Safety Plans <br /> and procedures to adequately address their scope of operations at this site. <br /> This SSHSP addresses the potential hazards that may be encountered for this project. <br /> If unanticipated changes in site or working conditions occur which are not addressed by <br /> this plan, addenda shall be provided. <br /> 13.2 PROJECT SAFETY AUTHORITY <br /> Personnel responsible for project safety are the Project Administrator (PA) and the Field <br /> Health and Safety Officer (FHSO) or his/her designee. Mr. Christopher Palmer, CEG, <br /> CHG, will serve as the (Senior Consulting/Supervising Hydrogeologist): Field Project <br /> Manager (FPM) and alternate HSO. <br /> Mr. Jay Jahangiri, REM REA, CESM CIPS, CUO will serve as the PA and the FHSO <br /> and is responsible for the provisions and submittal of this plan, and for advising on <br /> health and safety matters. The PA/FHSO has the authority to provide for the auditing of <br /> compliance with the provisions of this plan, suspension or modification of work <br /> practices, and administration of disciplinary actions for individuals whose conduct does <br /> not meet the requirements set forth herein. The PA/FHSO may elect to give the <br /> supervising Hydrogeologist/FPM the authority to administer disciplinary actions for <br /> individuals whose conduct does not meet the requirements set forth herein. <br /> The PA/FHSO is responsible for the dissemination of the information contained in this <br /> plan to all personnel assigned to the project, and to the responsible representative of <br /> subcontractors working on the project.
