1.0� <br /> 11.0 EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN (REFERENCE cH:M HILL SOP Hs-u) <br /> 11.1 PRE-EMERGENCY PLANNING <br /> The SSC performs the applicable pre-emergency planning tasks before starting field activities and <br /> coordinates emergency response with the facility and local emergency service providers as appropriate. <br /> • Locate nearest telephone to the site and inspect onsite communications. <br /> • Locate chemical, safety, radiological, biological hazards. <br /> • Confirm and post emergency telephone numbers and route to hospital. <br /> • Post site map marked with location of emergency equipment and supplies. <br /> • Review emergency response plan for applicability to any changed site conditions, alterations in onsite <br /> operations, or personnel availability. <br /> • Evaluate capabilities of local response teams. <br /> • Where appropriate and acceptable to the client, inform emergency room/ambulance service and <br /> emergency response teams of anticipated types of site emergencies. <br /> • Designate one vehicle as the emergency vehicle;place hospital directions and map inside; keep keys in <br /> ignition during field activities. <br /> • Inventory and check site emergency equipment and supplies. <br /> • Review emergency procedures for personnel injury, exposures, fires, explosions, chemical and vapor <br /> releases with field personnel. <br /> • Locate onsite emergency equipment and supplies of clean water. <br /> • Verify local emergency contacts, hospital routes, evacuation routes, and assembly points. <br /> • Drive route to hospital. <br /> • Review names of onsite personnel trained in first aid and CPR. <br /> • Review notification procedures for contacting C112M HILL'S medical consultant and team member's <br /> occupational physician. <br /> • Rehearse the emergency response plan once prior to site activities. <br /> • Brief new workers on the emergency response plan. <br /> 11.2 EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES <br /> The SSC marks the locations of emergency equipment on the site map and posts the map in the support <br /> zone. <br /> • 20 Ib ABC fire extinguisher <br /> • 40 feet of rope (tensile strength > 250 lbs.) <br /> • Industrial first aid kit <br /> • Facility emergency equipment: <br /> • Additional emergency equipment: <br /> 21 <br /> SF01001385F.WP5 <br />
