Except for items identified in B. Updating Asbestos Survey, this Site Assessment
will not include any sampling or testing. The work should include: (1) an extensive
review of Del Monte, public, and government records, (2) a site reconnaissance visit(s),
(3) interviews with appropriate Del Monte personnel and other occupants and government
-officials, and(4) a comprehensive report of the findings.
The report shall be written in such a manner that it can be segregated in the event that
sections of the property are sold or leased in lieu of the entire property being sold as one
site. The design of the report is to include seven (7) sections consistent with the numbered
locations on the site plan included in this proposal request. Sections of the report that are
generic to the whole site may be written in the normal manner in one segment of the
report. Discussions of findings that only apply to one of the seven areas of the facility
should be written so they can be independently separated from each other.
The final report shall include any pertinent maps or historical aerial photos obtained in the
assessment. The format of the report should follow the recommended format of ASTM
E1527-00. In addition to the Phase I report findings, the consultant shall also develop a
recommended Phase II action plan. This plan should recommend further investigation
including sampling or testing based on the results of the Phase I work.
