"
During our residence surveys on July 18, 1990, we were able
to measure groundwater in 5 wells. The groundwater was
measured at depths varying from 36 to 84 feet below
existing ground surface. In a well located at the proposed
parcel locations, location 5 on Plate I, groundwater was
measured at 54 feet deep. Regional groundwater maps
published by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
Conservation District, Plate II, indicate groundwater in
this area was approximately 50 to 60 feet below existing
ground surface in the fall of 1989 . In our opinion, the
groundwater measured at 84 feet, location lA on Plate I,
was likely due to drawdown during irrigation use.
Groundwater encountered at 36 feet deep, locations 1B and
2 on Plate I, were due to localized variations in
4
