The
laboratory results showed inlet concentrations of TPH-g and benzene at 210 ppmv and
0.098 ppmv, respectively. The outlet results showed concentrations of TPH-g and
benzene at 4.6 ppmv and non-detect, respectively. The destruction efficiency of the l
catalytic oxidizer was calculated at 98%.
The estimated amounts of TPH-g and benzene removed this quarter of operation are
1,208 and 0.39 pounds, respectively. The volumes of TPH-g and benzene estimated
removed this quarter reflects a general decrease over fast quarter (3,231 pounds TPH-
g, and 14.39 pounds benzene) and previous quarters. The total estimated pounds of
TPH-g removed during Kleinfelder's operation of the system are approximately 27,062
pounds (per date of the sampling). In 2005, the catalytic oxidizer removed
approximately 12,160 lbs of TPH-g and approximately 42.41 of benzene respectively
compared to 2004 results, which showed removal of approximately 5,019 lbs TPH-g
and 8.6 lbs of benzene, respectively. In 2005, approximately 240-percent more vapor
was removed compared to 2004.
Photoionization detector (PID) readings were recorded from VE-1, VE-2, VE-3, VE-4,
VE-5, and the mainline leading to the thermal/catalytic oxidizer unit (before and after
the dilution valve) on October 28, and December 2, 2005. Two sampling events
occurred this quarter because of system maintenance in November. The PID readings
ranged from 54 ppmv to 226 ppmv in the VE samples, and 83.6 ppmv to 227 ppmv in
the mainline samples.
i
{
12280.M0NIST06R0701CD:ly Page 11 of 14
0 2006 Kleinfelder, Inc.
