Procedures for function acceptance testing of package equipment at the
manufacturer's shop prior to shipment to the site.
B. Procedures for checking field testing and starting equipment systems after
installation.
1.2 RELATED SECTIONS
A. See Section 13001, VAPOR EXTRACTION SYSTEM.
B. See Section 13002, SPARGING SYSTEM.
C. See Section 13004, INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE SYSTEM.
D. See Section 16005, ELECTRICAL.
1.3 DEFINITIONS
A. Package System: A package system is the product of a manufacturer that
performs a specific function. A system may consist of two or more
subsystems as well as two or more types of equipment. The package
systems on this project are as follows:
1. Vapor Extraction System
2. Sparging System
3. Internal Combustion Engine System
B. Functional Testing: Tests necessary to demonstrate compliance with the
Specifications for control functions shall be performed prior to delivery of
package systems to the site. Functional testing will simulate all specified
control features, both internal to a package system and coordinating control
between package systems.
C. Performance Testing: Tests necessary to demonstrate, after installation,
that equipment and systems meet specified performance requirements (e.g.,
specified flow rates and pressure).
D. Startup:
1. Startup of any portion of the entire facility is considered complete
when, in the opinion of the Engineer, the facility or designated
1 portion has properly operated for 7 continuous days without
interruption.
