This work includes the necessary to furnish and install the piping from the <br /> vapor extraction wells to the vapor extraction system, from the sparge wells <br /> to the sparging system, and from the vapor extraction system to the internal <br /> combustion engine. { <br /> PART PRODUCTS I <br /> 2.1 GENERAL <br /> I <br /> A. The Contractor shall provide all piping materials, valves, and associated <br /> meters and gauges as shown on the Drawings that are not part of the vapor <br /> extraction, sparging, or off-gas treatment packages. <br /> B. No attempt has been made to show the location of piping supports on the <br /> Drawings. The piping shall be supported at intervals required by the <br /> manufacturer and on piping supports provided by the Contractor. <br /> 2.2 SYSTEM PIPING <br /> A. Two-inch diameter, Schedule 40, galvanized carbon steel piping shall be <br /> used for all air lines associated with the vapor extraction system and the <br /> internal combustion engine system. <br /> B. One-inch diameter, Schedule 40, galvanized carbon steel piping shall be <br /> used for all air lines associated with the sparging system. <br /> C. Piping located within operator reach on the discharge of blowers and the <br /> engine shall be insulated. <br /> D. All piping shall be supported with Uni-strut or equal and anchor bolted to <br /> the concrete slab. <br /> E. Piping connections shall be threaded unless they are called out as flanged in <br /> Sections 13001, 13002, or 13004. <br /> F. Piping connections to blowers shall have flexible couplings to isolate blower <br /> vibration. <br /> 2.3 VALVES, GAUGES, AND FITTINGS <br /> A. Pressure and vacuum gauges and indicators, sampling ports, flow meters, <br /> and valves shall be provided in the location shown on the Drawings. <br /> B.
