t
i Sacramento Insulation Contractors Project No. EOC-96-028
Several soil samples containing the highest concentrations of TPH from each borehole
will be analyzed for BTEX by EPA Method 8020 and organic lead.
L
• Collect a groundwater sample from each boring using the Hydropunch method and
i analyze each water sample for the presence of TPH and BTEX. The groundwater
L samples will be collected using a Hydropunch bailer with the contents decanted into 40-
ml VOA vials. The VOA vials will be labeled and transferred following chain-of-custody
procedures to a California state certified mobile laboratory for same day analysis.
L
• Follow the appropriate Quality Assurance/Control (QA/QC) procedures, such as steam
cleaning and washing, etc.
L
• Soil cuttings and decontamination water will be placed into labeled 55-gallon drums and
stored on site for proper disposal by the client following regulatory protocol.
L.
• Provide health and safety monitoring at all time during field activities.
Task 111 - Preparation of Limited Assessment Report. Following completion of Tasks I and ll,
EOC will prepare a report that summarizes the results of the field activities and provides
recommendations, as appropriate.
L
• Prepare and submit a letter to PHS detailing the boring excavation activities (including
boring logs and laboratory data) in accordance with permitting requirements.
• Prepare and submit a report following the completion of Tasks I and ll. The report will
detail the field activities and request regulatory closure of the site or provide
recommendations for additional environmental services, as appropriate. The report will
follow the guidelines presented in the 'Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for
Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Storage Tank Sites" and will conform to the
r regulatory requirements for assessing UARs and obtaining no further action required
determinations.
L Provide consultation with the client and representatives of the regulatory agencies during
and following completion of the field activities, as required. The purpose of the
consultation will be to present the results obtained during the performance of the field
activities.
PROJECT SCHEDULE
L
EOC has tentatively scheduled the performance of the field activities for Wednesday, November
20 and Thursday, November 21, 1996. We would like to complete the field activities prior to the
ry Thanksgiving holiday. With your concurrence, we will plan and attempt to complete the field
activities on the proposed dates. The limited assessment report should be submitted within 3
f weeks of the completion of the field activities. Based on an evaluation of the results, EOC will
L recommend "no further action", or recommend appropriate additional field services.
1 EnvirOmega Consultants 3 November 8, 1996
L
