We request that you provide us <br /> with a written proposal to perform this work. <br /> The well is 8 inches in diameter, approximately 159 feet deep, and <br /> is located in an open area of the lot North of the pump station <br /> building. At present, the well is open with a steel cap tack <br /> welded in place. There is adjacent area available which should be <br /> sufficient to accommodate the necessary equipment required to <br /> perform the work. <br /> Mild steel casing extends from the top of the concrete slab to -159 <br /> feet. A well video has been performed and shows no obstructions <br /> inside the well. <br /> Please provide a written cost proposal to destruct the well in <br /> conformance with the following requirements: <br /> 1. Obtain a Well Abandonment Permit as required by the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. Copies of <br /> this permit shall be provided to the City prior to the start <br /> of work and posted on site during the project. <br /> 2. Mobilize and demobilize all required equipment. <br /> 3 . Backfill from -159 feet to -5 feet with cement-sand grout. <br /> Install a tremie pipe to within 20 feet of the bottom of the <br /> well. Pump cement slurry through the tremie pipe up to the <br /> specified depth in one continuous operation. Remove the <br /> tremie pipe as the cementing operation continues, however, <br /> keep the bottom of the pipe submerged in the slurry throughout <br /> the filling procedure. <br /> "Service with Pride" <br /> "STOCKTON...CALIFORNIA'S SUNRISE SEAPORT" <br />
