The purpose of the meeting was to
evaluate progress and to establish time tables for future work.
22 East Market
• On March 19, 1992 the monitoring well,MW1, and the domesticlemergency well were sampled.
Laboratory results did not indicate contamination above the laboratory's detection limits.
The McCormick and Baxter 1987 analysis of the COS domesticlemergency well indicated
3.9 ppb benzene contamination.
• The Cal Water letter to the COS requiring a cross connection device to be installed between the
COS domestic/emergency well and the Cal Water line was discussed.
+ The abandonment of the domestic/emergency well was discussed. The COS will determine if the
well is still needed by the Office of Emergency Services. If the well is not needed as an emergency
water source, the COS will prepare a work plan for well destruction and a copy of the destruction
specifications for the domestic/emergency well will be submitted to PHS/EHD.
• A soil contamination work plan for the re-excavation of residual soil contamination will be
submitted by mid May 1992 By mid June 1992, the soil re-excavation will be completed. A
summary report will be submitted by mid July 1992
+ Quarterly sampling of MW1 and the domestic/emergency will occur in June 1992 and results will
be included in the July 1992 summary report.
A E>Msion of San Joaquin County HdN CS Cm l
