The abandoned underground diesel storage tank must be <br /> removed (Section 25298 California Health and Safety <br /> Code) . Removal must be done under permit from this <br /> office. You may contact Pam Violett at (209) 468-3468 for <br /> more information concerning closure of the tank. <br /> 4. The well on site is no longer in use and is in a state of <br /> disrepair. It is also in the general downgradient <br /> direction from the diesel tank and as such is a potential <br /> conduit to a deeper aquifer. According to San Joaquin <br /> County Ordinance Code Section 5-4000 et seq. , such wells <br /> must be destroyed. Proper destruction must be carried <br /> out under permit from this office.
