As such, DTSC intends to oversee actions taken
by the City of Stockton, Department of Housing and Redevelopment (SDHR) to
mitigate hazardous substance releases at the North Shore Parcels (Site). These
actions are proposed in the draft Remedial Action Plan (RAP) and will include the
removal of contaminated soil and a deed restriction due to the high concentrations of
chemicals in the soil. Specifically, these chemicals-of-concern (CDCs) generated at a
point during site operations and include lead, arsenic, total petroleum hydrocarbons,
and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons. Upon completion of the project, the Site will
be redeveloped, although the plans have yet to be finalized. The site is zoned for
commercial and industrial activities. The Site is currently vacant and is located in an
industrial area in the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California (see attached
maps).
Actions to be taken at this Site are defined as a "project' according to the Public
Resources Code (PRC) Section 21065 and the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) Guidelines Section 15378.
The energy challenge facing California is real. Every Californian needs to take immediate action to reduce energy consumption.
For a list of simple ways you can reduce demand and cut your energy costs.see our Web-site at www.dtsc.ca.gov.
® Printed on Recycled Paper
