The 9 September1999 work plan titled Work Plan for Soil and
Groundwater Characterization, North Shore Parcel, Stockton Department of Housing and
Redevelopment was accepted by your office, which issued Boring Permit Number 020561 for the
proposed work.
Area 11 was initially part of our proposed investigation program, but the access agreement
(attached) was not completed in time for this property to be included in the 9 September 1999
Work Plan.
Background
The site was previously occupied by two warehouses associated with metal working and possibly
shipbuilding. The site is currently empty, and covered by soil or paved areas. Approximately
half of the site appears to be underlain by concrete slabs, and rail spurs are still present. There is
no evidence that above or below ground fuel storage tanks were present at the site. No soil or
groundwater investigations have been conducted at Area 11.
Scope of Work
We propose to perform the following work at Area 11:
• Four geoprobe borings will be completed to an approximate depth of 8 feet deep, and a
minimum of two soil samples will be collected from each.
• Three geoprobe borings will be completed to an approximate depth of 25 feet deep in
order to collect groundwater samples, and a minimum of two soil samples will be
collected from each.
Treadwell&Rollo,Inc.
