r".
it
The report recommends continued groundwater monitoring to determine the gradient beneath the
site . PHS/EHD has determined that gradient at this site has been determined based upon water
elevations at this site and three surrounding sites of which PHS/EHD has knowledge.
At this time , there is evidence that the plume at 404 W . Fremont may be commingled or has the
potential to become commingled with the plume at a site located across Van Buren Street from
the Crystal site. This is the Chase Chevrolet site located at 424 N . Van Buren Street. Due to the
proximity of these two plumes it is important to realize that efforts to perform remediation at
one site may affect the plume at the other site. Therefore, it may be necessary to develop an
investigation and remediation plan that addresses both plumes as one .
For further information please call Steve Sasson at (209) 468-3459 .
Donna Heran, REHS , Director
Environmental Health Division
i'e'
Steven Sassonmor REHS Diane .
