r . <br /> Additional Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> GUARDINO AND CRAWFORD <br /> 517 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California <br /> 1 .0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Dave and Pat Guardino, Advanced GeoEnviromnental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared <br /> this work plan for investigation of the Guardino and Crawford site located at 517 West Fremont <br /> Street, Stockton, California (site). The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD) has requested the additional site assessment to define the lateral and vertical extent of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted ground water associated with the former operation of underground storage <br /> tanks (USTs) at the site, and has required work plan be prepared; in letters dated 21 June 2004 and <br /> 03 August 2004 (Appendix A). <br /> The Additional Site Assessment Work Plan will include the advancement of one paired cone <br /> penetrometer test (CPT) boring, and two soil borings to be completed as monitoring wells. This work <br /> plan was prepared in accordance with California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central <br /> Valley Region (RWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of UST sites. The location of the site is <br /> illustrated on Figure 1 . A plan of the site including structures and adjacent properties is illustrated <br /> on Figure 2 . The site background information is provided in Appendix B. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> To assess the vertical and lateral extent of hydrocarbon-impacted ground water on the site, <br /> completion of the following tasks is required: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities; <br /> • Advancement of CPT borings; <br /> • Advancement of soil borings and completion as ground water monitoring wells; <br /> Collection of soil and ground water samples; <br /> • Laboratory analysis of samples; <br /> • Development and survey of the monitoring wells; and <br /> • Preparation of a report of findings. <br /> Each of these tasks are described in more detail below. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. <br />
