Archie Grenz ( 2025 East Acampo Road, Acampo ) said he has been in <br /> the area since 1927 . Leave Acampo like it is . Acampo has a new <br /> well . The new owners of this property have not paid a cent on <br /> assessment to help pay for this well and pump. <br /> REBUTTAL: <br /> Mr . Riddle said they want to be good neighbors . He said it was <br /> his understanding that aerial spraying was from the north to the <br /> south . If it is from the east to the west , this will also impact <br /> the people that are already living there. They will be very <br /> careful with what they do with the property and who they would <br /> eventually sell it to, if they did that . <br /> PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED: <br /> Commissioner Gillispie asked staff if the right-to-farm ordinance <br /> is put in the deed. <br /> Michael McGrew said it is State law, and there is a County ordi- <br /> nance which parallels the State law. It is not a deed restric- <br /> tion. <br /> Chet Davisson, Director , said every building permit has the <br /> right-to-farm ordinance printed on the back of it. A number of <br /> complaints have been resolved by the right-to-farm ordinance. <br /> People are told that farmers are using accepted agricultural <br /> practices; therefore, there is no complaint . <br /> MOTION: <br /> Moved, seconded (Jungeblut-Bozzano ) , and failed by a tie roll <br /> Cate vote ( 3-3; Holly, Morri , Gillispie: No; Carter , Absent ) to <br /> deny ZR-90-17 based on the finding that there is a conflict with <br /> agriculture. <br /> Commissioner Gillispie suggested that they make another motion or <br /> continue the item to allow Commissioner Sandra Carter to listen <br /> to the tape of the hearing and vote on the matter . <br /> Michael McGrew, County Counsel , said the finding should focus on <br /> the General Plan or whether the project is permitted in the zone . <br /> The finding made in the motion was that the project is incom- <br /> patible with agriculture, but it is not an agricultural area in <br /> the General Plan. <br /> Commissioner Gillispie said the finding was that the project was <br /> incompatible with surrounding agriculture. <br /> MOTION: <br /> Moved, seconded (Jungeblut-Rojas ) , and passed by a unanimous <br /> voice vote ( 6-0 ; Carter , Absent ) to continue ZR-90-17/SU-90-14 to <br /> PC Minutes - 10 - (PC: 4-5-90 ) <br />
