i
3.0 Key Personnel and Responsibilities
IT is the prime contractor for this project. IT will implement and monitor compliance with the
associated scoping documents and this HASP. The responsibilities and authorities of key IT
project individuals, relating to health and safety issues, are presented below.
k
3.1 Project Organization-Personnel
The following personnel positions are projected for this contract. Note that not all personnel
need be present at all times; requirements will vary depending upon the nature and magnitude of
the tasks. Table 3-1 lists the key personnel, responsibilities,.and phone numbers for this project.
i
3.2 Responsibilities
Occupational safety is ultimately a matter of each individual making a deliberate, conscious i
effort to perform his or her job duties in'a safe manner. There is no safety program, no manager, f
and no written standard operating procedure that can make an employee a"safe"employee
unless that employee chooses to work safely. Consequently, the ultimate responsibility and
i
authority for any individual's health and safety lies with that individual, and his or her
colleagues. Each employee is responsible for exercising the uti ost care and good judgement in
protecting his or her own health and safety and that of fellow any em to employees. Shouldto f
P Y. em ee P Y
observe a potentially unsafe condition or situation, it is the responsibility of that employee to
immediately bring the observed condition to the attention of the appropriate health and safety
personnel designated for the project.
3.2.9 Project Manager(PM)
t The PM will coordinate with the Site Safety & Health Officer and Program Safety& Health
Manager and:
• Ensure that the HASP is approved by the contracting agency prior to
commencement of operations
k
• Ensure that all employees and subcontractors assigned to the project have been
informed of and trained in the content of the HASP
' • Ensure that required personal protective equipment, air monitoring instruments,
and other safety equipment are provided and properly utilized for the project
sacDP-N:IConsJfingldntaMare"rojecislP.171778407.=doc 3-1
1217100
I
t
',I F
