6.0 Site Control Measures <br /> This section defines measures and procedures for maintaining`'site control. Site control is an <br /> essential component in the implementation of the Site Health and Safety Program. <br /> i <br /> 6.9 General Safe Work Practices <br /> • At least one copy of the HASP will be available at the Site. <br /> • Horseplay,.practical joking, or any other actions that jeopardize safety will not be <br /> tolerated. <br /> Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the project site. Employees suspected of <br /> being under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs will be subject to <br /> disciplinary action up to and including termination. The employee shall advise <br /> I the Supervisor if he or she is on prescription medication to insure that these drugs <br /> do not pose a hazard potential. <br /> All activities will be performed in such a manner as to minimize or.prevent the <br /> release of contaminants. <br /> • Legible and understandable precautionary labels shall be affixed prominently to ` <br /> containers of contaminated scrap, waste, debris,I and clothing. <br /> • No food or beverages will be present or consumed in the exclusion zone. No <br /> tobacco products will be°present or used and cosmetics will not be applied in the <br /> exclusion zone. <br /> Transportation and disposal of contaminated materials will comply with all <br /> applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Transporters and disposers will <br /> t address the applicable regulations. i <br /> 1 Contaminated materials will be stored in a designated area at the Site. <br /> U Containers will be moved only with the proper equipment and will be secured to <br /> prevent dropping or loss of control during transport. <br /> • Emergency equipment will be located in readily,accessible areas near work <br /> activities. <br /> During all site operations (when working within established exclusion zones), all <br /> employees will be required to wash up before eating, drinking, smoking, or <br /> applying cosmetics.
