24 October 2005
AGE-NC Project No. 98-0500
• The lateral extent of the dissolved 1,2-DCA has not been defined. The shallow limit of the
dissolved 1,2-DCA plume is defined within the monitoring well network;however, 1,2-DCA
concentrations were observed in the newly installed wells to increase with depth across the
hydrologic units down-gradient of the former UST release (west).
• At the present time, 1,2-DCA concentrations at the northern edges of the plume appear
stable.
6.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this investigation, AGE recommends:
• Continued quarterly ground water monitoring and soil-vapor extraction at the site.
7.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
available data points(i.e. soil vapor samples and ground water samples),and subsurface conditions
may vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the
professional interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in this report.
s
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
