Plate A7 indicates soils are Tokay fine sandy loam <br /> and Kingdon fine sandy loam. <br /> V// Site Map <br /> The site map showing the location of the soil borings are presented in Plate A8. <br /> Description of Borehole Dimensions <br /> A total of two boreholes where drilled at the site. One of the boreholes was 42 inches <br /> deep and 7 inches diameter. The remaining borehole was 25 feet deep and 7 inches diameter. <br /> Description of Soil Lithology <br /> The soils encountered where similar to the soils described in the Soil Survey, The soils <br /> encountered where fine Sandy Loam (SM — USCS) to a depth of approximately 42 inches. At <br /> approximately 42 inches, hardpan was encountered. The hardpan thickness varies up to 8 inches. <br /> The soils below the hardpan are fine Sandy Loam(SM). <br /> Discussion of Soil Lithology <br /> The sandy loam soils encountered indicates that the material may be suitable for a septic system. <br /> However, a percolation test is an approved method for determining the type of system that may <br /> be required for the site. <br /> 6.
