THORNTON ROAD <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> TERRACON PROJECT NUMBER: NA177056 <br /> Our office was contacted by Mr. David Miraflor of Line 2 Design, to conduct a Soil <br /> Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study (SSNLS) for the site located at 11241, 11253, and 11265 N. <br /> Thornton Road, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California, Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 055- <br /> 200-03, San Joaquin County Community Development Department Application No. PA-1600266. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, EHD <br /> Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007, and Nitrate Loading <br /> Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 1.1 Introduction and Development <br /> The purpose of the SSNLS is to identify, to the extent feasible and based on the search methods <br /> described in the text, the history of past uses in the project area to assess potential concerns in <br /> connection with the site. The report also provides recommendations intended to inform the client <br /> and allow the EHD to make an informed decision on whether further action should be required to <br /> address any potential contamination sources identified. This report contains information and data <br /> provided to Terracon by several sources. Terracon in no way warrants the accuracy or <br /> completeness of the information provided to this investigation by those sources. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br /> septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br /> 1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by San Joaquin <br /> County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). A review of published <br /> soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br /> As part of the report development, Terracon reviewed the following reports and/or letters prepared <br /> by Neil O. Anderson & Associates (NOA) for Buddhist Temple, 11253 N. Thornton Road, <br /> Stockton, CA. NOA was acquired by Terracon in 2014. <br /> ■ Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study, dated August 31, 2006, NOA Project <br /> No. E06091 A. <br /> Based on a review of the 2006 NOA report, the site was developed with <br /> a residence, mobile home, assembly hall, open land, two septic <br /> Responsive ■ Resourceful ■Reliable 3 <br />
