CURRENT CONDITIONS
Vadose zone
• Vadose zone appears locally impacted by TPH as diesel only at two depths:
15,000 mg/Kg at approximately 15 feet depth, adjacent to the former UST excavation, and,
1,200 mg/Kg mg/Kgat approximately 65 feet depth, immediately below the former UST excavation.
• No presence of TPH as gasoline or chlorinated solvents.
• Only trace levels of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX).
Saturated zone
• Average groundwater depth: 63.4 feet in November 1995
• Approximate groundwater flow direction: North-west 1
• Approximate groundwater gradient: 0.02 ft/ft
• TPH as diesel only detected at low levels (0.2 mg1L maximum). These concentrations historically occur during seasonal rises
in the water table.
• Inconsistent trace levels of BTEX sporadically measured in groundwater.
MZ/I 1-09-951VDBF/95-0040.LF
