Field procedures are
provided as Attachment A .
• Soil Sampling and Analysis. Two soil samples will be collected
from each boring including one soil sample from the capillary fringe ,
and one sample from the bottom of each boring . Soil samples
retained for chemical analysis will be sent under chain-of-custody
procedures to a California State-certified laboratory . Soil samples
will be analyzed for TPHd using EPA Method 8015 modified .
• Groundwater Sampling and Analysis. A grab groundwater sample
will also be collected from the bottom of each boring using a
"hydropunch" or by bailing a water sample directly from the boring
after retracting the drive rods . Each groundwater sample will be sent
under chain-of-custody procedures to a California state-certified
laboratory. Groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHd using
EPA Method 8015 modified.
• Soil and Water Disposal . The work will be implemented in conjunction with the
13 Geoprob? and hand auger borings currently approved by the RWQCB . A report
documenting the results of the proposed investigation will be submitted approximately 6
weeks following the completion of the field work and receipt of laboratory analytical
results .
If there are any questions regarding the contents of this work plan , please call us at (916)
861 -0400 .
I:\ST Services Stockton\Reports\Diesel AST 1503 Spill Report & WP.doc
