Hazardous waste <br /> generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the destination facility on site for three years and have them <br /> readily available for review. If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest with the handwritten signature of the <br /> owner or operator of the facility to which the generator's waste was submitted within 60 days of the date the waste was <br /> accepted by the initial transporter, the generator shall submit a legible copy of the missing manifest, with some <br /> indication that the generator has not received confirmation of delivery. This information shall be submitted to: <br /> DTSC Report Repository <br /> Generator Information Services Section <br /> P.O. Box 806 <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 <br /> Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifests or prepare and submit the required information to DISC. Submit to <br /> the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest or a copy of the information submitted to DTSC. This is a repeat <br /> violation, Class II. <br /> 112 HSC 25160.2(b)(3) Failed to keep copies of consolidated manifesting receipts for three years. <br /> Only one 2013 consolidated manifest for 160 gallons was available during this inspection; copies of all hazardous <br /> waste disposal records for 2013 were not found on site. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all <br /> manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for <br /> three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the <br /> last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. This is a repeat violation, Class IL <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> One 55-gallon drum of used oil was not closed in the hazardous waste storage area. All hazardous waste containers <br /> shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all <br /> hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. This is a repeat violation, Class 11. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> The following hazardous waste were stored longer than 180 days, or considered to be stored longer than 180 days due <br /> to lack of accumulation start date on the label: <br /> —Three 55-gallon hazardous waste drums with a start date of 3/18/14, 6/1/14, (red drum)4/4/14 at the hazardous <br /> waste storage area; <br /> — Four 5-gallon hazardous waste buckets (used grease, metal shavings)with no start date, three 5-gallon hazardous <br /> waste buckets with start date of 2/13/14, 3/18/14, and 5/23/14, and one 5-gallon bucket of used oil with no hazardous <br /> waste label, all located at the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> — Four 55-gallon drums of used oil by storage shelves had no label. <br /> —Two 5-gallon bucket under the work bench, one with no label, the other with no start date on the label. <br /> Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored <br /> on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br /> dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD.
