FREMONT ST., STOCKTON <br /> SITE CODE 1782 <br /> Prepared by <br /> Wm. J. Hunter & Associates <br /> September, 1998 <br /> PURPOSE OF WORK: <br /> On December 31, 1997, Wm. J. Hunter & Associates, (WJH) submitted a <br /> workplan to the San Joaquin County PHS, EHD, for placing three (3) soil/water <br /> probes in an attempt to further define the limits of soil and water contamination <br /> which exists beneath the property. That workplan was approved on March 30, <br /> 1998, and the State Cleanup Fund approved the cost estimate on July 27, 1998. <br /> This report covers the results of that work, which was completed on August 25, <br /> 1998. A copy of the workplan, San Joaquin Co. EHD approval, and SWRCB cost <br /> approval letter are included as EXHIBIT A. <br /> PROPERTY LOCATION: <br /> The site is located at 1401 W. Fremont Street in the City of Stockton. It consists <br /> of approximately .26 acres; the Assessor's parcel No. is 135-25-31. <br /> NAME & ADDRESS OF PROPERTY OWNERS: <br /> Valley Wholesale Drug Co., Inc., 1401 W. Fremont Street, Stockton <br /> CONTACT PERSON: <br /> Paul Souva, Controller; (209) 466-0131, ext. 224. <br /> REGIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SETTING: <br /> The property is located in the southwestern part of the city of Stockton, almost <br /> directly beneath Interstate 5. The Stockton deepwater channel is about one <br /> block to the south, near the terminous of Mormon Slough. The area is primarily <br /> zoned for light manufacturing and various small to medium sized businesses. <br /> Valley Wholesale Drugs is a wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals; there are <br /> no manufacturing activities on the property. <br />
