1
SITE SAFETY & REMEDIATION FLAN
PAGE 2
SECTIONS;
' I. Project Description
f
Ii. Task Risk Analysis and Safety & Health Plan
A) Site Remediation
111, Contractor Certification
IV Emergency Response Plan
SECTION I: PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A) Placer Tractor Service will proceed to excavate the contaminated soil and
stockpile it onsite. Soil will be placed on visqueen and covered with visqueen.
I3) The suspected contaminated soil will be monitored by Placer Tractor Service's
PID meters to determine the levels of gas contamination. When the
PID levels show the soil contamination to be less than 100 ppm we will have
Alpha Analytical take soil samples. The results of the soil samples will confirm
if we have excavated all the contaminated soil.
C) After we receive the soil sample results and depending on what constituents
are in the soil. we will be able to determine what can be done with the soil.
Since the soil appears to be contaminated with gasoline we are recommending
that the soil be aerated on site. If this is acceptable to San Joaquin County
Enviromental Health we would ask permission from. Regional Air Quality to
aerate onsite.
CONTINUED ON PAGE 3
