Quik Market#39 Page 2
2285 E. Fremont Street February 7, 2008
Stockton, CA
MW-3 or site conditions change abruptly. The report of findings for the southerly investigation
may include this recommendation if applicable.
The EHD requires that groundwater samples from MW-1,. MW-2 and MW-3 be analyzed
quarterly for 1,2-DCA and will allow semi-annual analysis for total petroleum-hydrocarbons as
gasoline (TPHg). If both analytes stay at approximately the same concentrations or decrease,
the TPHg analysis may be dropped until the last two quarters before a "no further action" is
approved by the EHD. The EHD notes that the TPHg and 1,2-DCA concentrations are nearly
the same; if you show that the TPHg is actually.1,2-DCA, the.TPHg analyses can be dropped
until the final monitoring events prior to site closure. Analyses for benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) and the oxygenates for MW-1 through MW-3 may be dropped
at this time.
After the dissolved plume has been fully delineated and the groundwater data clearly
demonstrates declining contaminant concentrations, the EHD will again evaluate this site for a
no further action" status.
You may continue to direct your correspondence to Michael Infurna, Senior Environmental
Health Specialist, and you may call him at (209) 468-3454 if you have any questions. Mr.
Infurna can also be reached by email at minfurnaa-sicehd.com.
I
Sincerely,
Michael J. Infurna Jr., REHS Nuel C.
