Quik Stop Station No 39 February 14,2003 <br /> Stockton California Results Report and Work Pian Addendum <br /> - SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> l <br /> The site is a convenience market and retail gasoline station located on the northwestern <br /> corner of the intersection of East Fremont Street and E Street in a commercial and residential <br /> area in the city of Stockton, California (Figure 1) Structures and installations at the site <br /> include a station building, gasoline dispenser islands under a canopy, and two 12,000-gallon <br /> gasoline USTs as shown on figure 2 <br /> The site elevation is approximately 22 feet above mean sea level (msl) and is predominantly <br /> underlain by alternating beds of sandy silt, silty said and clay with minor cemented sand and <br /> sand to approximately 100 feet bsg The regional groundwater flow direction in the site area <br /> is generally southwestward The depth to groundwater at the site, as measured in site <br /> monitoring wells on November 12, 2002, was approximately 52 feet below surface grade <br /> (bsg) <br /> In November 1998, toxo single-walled, steel, 10,000-gallon, gasoline underground storage <br /> tanks (UST's T-1 and T-2), product piping and dispensers were excavated and removed from <br /> the site Removal of the former UST systems and analytical results of soil samples were <br /> documented by Horizon in Tank Closure Report dated February 17, 1999 <br /> In November 1999, Horizon conducted a soil and groundwater investigation consisting of <br /> the drilling and installation of three 2-inch inside diameter (ID) groundwater monitoring <br /> wells (MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3) Groundwater was encountered in the borings at depths <br /> of approximately 55 feet bsg The monitoring wells were screened across the interval from <br /> 40 to 60 feet bsg The investigation was documented by Horizon in Subsurface Site <br /> Assessment Report dated February 8, 2000 <br /> Horizon has conducted quarterly site groundwater monitoring from December 1999 to May <br /> 2002 Quarterly groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 1 The DCA <br /> distribution indicated by fourth quarter 2002 data is shown on Figure 2 Groundwater flow <br /> directions have varied from eastward to southeastward under gradients of 0 002 to 0 03, and <br /> C Trolects17039U41WPaddnm2-03 doc <br /> Project No 7039 14 2 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC <br />
