HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> Specialists in Site Assessment Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> • <br /> RESULTS OF <br /> ADDITIONAL SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION <br /> AND WORK PLAN ADDENDUM <br /> at <br /> Quik Stop Station No 39 <br /> 2285 East Fremont Street <br /> Stockton, California, <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Quik Stop Markets (Quik Stop), Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has <br /> prepared this results report and work plan addendum for the Quik Stop Station No 39 in <br /> . Stockton, California (Figure 1) This report documents performance and results of the <br /> preliminary phase of an additional subsurface investigation for delineation of the vertical <br /> extent of dissolved 1,2-dichloroethane (DCA) in groundwater at the site The report also <br /> includes a proposal for additional site groundwater monitoring wells to complete the <br /> delineation of the vertical and deep lateral extent of DCA impacts The results of the total <br /> I <br /> investigation shall be used to prepare a revised Problem Assessment Report (PAR) and a <br /> final Corrective Action Plan (CAP) <br /> The additional investigation at the site was requested and approved by the San Joaquin <br /> Environmental Health Department (SJEHD) in letters dated June 24, 2002 and August 29, <br /> 2002 (Appendix A) This additional groundwater investigation was proposed by Horizon in <br /> Work Plan for Additional Groundwater Investigation dated August 14, 2002 This reportis <br /> intended to comply with the Regional Water Quality Control Board Tri Regional Guidelines, <br /> and the SJEHD guidelines <br /> 50T 1 Golden Foothill Parkway Suite 7 + EI Dorado Hills CA 95762 .
