Quik Stop Station No 039 February 28,2000 <br /> Stockton California Subsurface Site Assessment <br /> the monitoring wells, surveying the monitoring wellheads, and preparing a report that <br /> presents the results of our findings and conclusions <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> The site is a convenience market and gas station located on the eastern corner of the <br /> intersection of East Fremont Street and E Street in a commercial and residential area in the <br /> city of Stockton, California (Figure 1) The city of Stockton is located in the Central Valley <br /> geomorphic province of California The site elevation is approximately 22 feet above mean <br /> sea level (msl) Regional groundwater flow is estimated to be toward the southwest in the <br /> I <br /> area of the site <br /> In November 1998, two USTs (T-1 and T-2) were removed from the site Upon removal, <br /> each UST appeared to be in relatively good condition with no noticeable holes and light to <br /> . moderate rusting and pitting USTs T-1 and T-2 (from south to north), were both of single- <br /> walled, steel construction with 10,000-gallon capacities, and located in the middle area of <br /> the station property Tank T-1 was reportedly used to store leaded gasoline and tank T-2 <br /> was reportedly used to store unleaded gasoline The pump dispenser island was located 20 <br /> feet east of the eastern ends of the two USTs The location of the Quik Stop market <br /> building, two former USTs, the former dispenser island, and other pertinent site features are <br /> shown on the Site Plan (Figure 2) <br /> Analytical results for soil samples collected from beneath the former gasoline USTS reported <br /> no detectable concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), the <br /> volatile gasoline constituents Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and total Xylenes (BTEX) <br /> and the seven oxygenated fuel additive compounds methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), di- <br /> isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether <br /> (TAME), tertiary butanol (TBA), methanol and ethanol (except for trace concentrations of <br /> 0 020 parts per million [ppm] of xylenes and 0 21 ppm of TBA) beneath the two former <br /> 7039-12 rpt 2 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC <br />
