Quik Stop Station No 039 February 28,2000 <br /> Stockton California Subsurface Site Assessment <br /> USTs The analytical results for the soil samples collected from beneath the former product <br /> dispensers at a depth of approximately 3 feet bsg indicated a concentration of 440 ppm of <br /> TPHg beneath the southern dispenser, trace concentrations of BTEX beneath both <br /> dispensers, and a trace concentration of 0 0055 ppm of MTBE beneath the northern <br /> dispenser No concentrations of other fuel oxygenates were detected in the soil samples <br /> collected from beneath the former product dispensers <br /> Subsequent to the removal of the two USTs, a 2-inch diameter PVC tank observation well <br /> was removed from the southeast corner of the former UST cavity to a depth of 16 feet bsg <br /> SJCPHS-EHD records indicate the tank observation well was installed in 1981 An <br /> unidentified black clay-like substance was noted in the bottom of the casing A sample of <br /> the clay-like substance (MW-SW) was collected for laboratory analysis at the direction of <br /> the SJCPHS-EHD Inspector Mr Michael Infurna Jr As requested by the SJCPHS-EHD, <br /> the unidentified substance from the tank observation well was submitted for "Waste Oil <br /> Protocol" Analytical results for the sample of the unidentified substance indicated that <br /> ielevated concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as motor oil (TPHmo) and Total <br /> Oil and Grease (TOG), and low concentrations of TPHg, BTEX and MTBE were detected in <br /> the sample More detailed information on the procedures and analytical results can be found <br /> in the Tank Closure Report(Horizon, February 17, 1999) <br /> FIELD WORK <br /> Field work was conducted between November 18 and December 29, 1999 in accordance <br /> with the Horizon Site Safety Pian dated October 28, 1999 Prior to drilling, Underground <br /> Service Alert was notified and a well permit was obtained from SJCPHS-EHD for the <br /> construction of the three proposed groundwater monitoring wells A copy of the SJCPHS- <br /> EHD approved Well Permit Application is included in Appendix A Horizon's Field <br /> Methods and Procedures are included in Appendix B <br /> 7039-12 rpt 3 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC <br />
