i
 AMBRIA
approximately 83 fbg and from boring SB-27 at depths of
approximately 83, 110, 130,and 150 fbg
We had planned to collect groundwater samples from SB-26 at
110, 130, and 150 fbg, but the groundwater sampling equipment
could not be advanced to those depths due to the dense soil
encountered
Number of Borings: Two CPT borings (SB-26 through SB-27) were advanced The
boring specifications are described in Table 1, and the locations
are shown on Figure 2 The proposed offsite wells S-7 and S-8
were not drilled during this investigation due to the discovery of
shallow soil impact, which indicates an offsite source of
petroleum hydrocarbons is present beneath the property This is
discussed in more detail below
I
Boring Depths: Borings SB-26 and SB-27 extended to a depth of approximately j
90 7 and 150 fbg, respectively In boring SB-26, drilling
equipment refusal was encountered at 90 7 fbg
i
Groundwater Depths- A pore pressure dissipation test was performed in boring SB-27
to determine the approximate depth to groundwater The test
was performed at a depth of approximately 82 fbg The test
results indicate the estimated depth to groundwater was 53 5 fbg
These data agree with monitoring well water level data at the
subject site
Soil Classification. Bonngs CPT-26 and CPT-27 were continuously logged using
CPT equipment The logging equipment classifies soil behavior
type based on relationships between cone bearing, sleeve
friction, and pore water pressure Encountered soils are
described on the CPT plots presented in Appendix B
Chemical Analyses- Soil and groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbon as_ gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), fuel oxygenates [methyl
tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether, ethyl
tertiary butyl ether,di-isopropyl ether, and tertiary butyl alcohol]
0797 3
