To- MV 141,1'7` 1 07/24/2006
From-Dan Mc Ilrath
D/O for ST Services
3505 Navy Drive
Stockton, CA 95206
#I- I checked the tank myself to be sure it had been pumped and it has.
I told the manager at ST Services I would keep an eye on this tank to avoid
future problems.
#15- South line failure of 989 testing. They asked me to handle this problem
for them. I called 3 contractors in Stockton and they all told me they were
to busy. I put a little pressure on a friend at elete-4 and they told me they
would do the work if I did the leg work. This one line that failed only
goes to one above ground tank that has not been in use for approximately
8 years. In fact the side man hole covers are off and you can see in the tank.
The piping is only covered by road base, gravel and dirt, with the exception
of the cement pad which is directly over the underground tank that the no
longer in use above ground tank goes to. There is maybe 30 ft. of line that
is in question. ST Services has advised me that it may be several years
down the road before they make the repairs needed to put the above ground
tank back into service. I have been told that you cannot just disconnect the
the secondary pluming at the tank and cap it off,but I was told that it can be
slurry filled.
Can you please advise me on what forms, paper work or permit if any is needed
to do this? I am unfamiliar with this area and want to get it done as soon as possible
for them. Also, the D.O. Training has been updated.
Thank you for your help
Dan Mc Ilrath
Valley Underground Tank
Stockton, CA
(209) 649-8956
NOTE: I'm sorry that this is a couple days late, but I was off work at home with the
flu until today. ( 08/02/2006)
