09 May 1997 <br /> AGE-NC Proposal No 97-1344 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> • Preparation of a Work PIan and site specific Site Health and Safety Plan The Work Plan will <br /> be submitted to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Enviroru-rental Health <br /> Division (PHS-EHD) for review and approval <br /> • Preparation of drilling permit and permit fee <br /> • Regulatory liaison <br /> • Advancement of three (3)soil probe borings Three probings will be advanced to depths of <br /> 50 feet near the former UST area Probe borings will be advanced using a van-mounted <br /> piobing unit <br /> • Collection of soil samples from each probe boring Soil samples will be collected at five- <br /> foot intervals in each probe borings, beginning at a depth of 15 feet <br /> • Transmittal of soil samples and grab ground water samples to a State-certified laboratory for <br /> analysis <br /> • Analysis of six (6) soil samples Samples will be analyzed for TPH-g, TPH-d, TPH-k, <br /> BTE&X and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) in accordance with the appropriate EPA <br /> • methods <br /> • Results of the investigation will be included in a technical report The report will include <br /> recommendations for additional investigation/remediation, if necessary The report will be <br /> signed by a California Registered Geologist <br /> 2 2 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> If ground water is encountered during the investigation, it is likely that the PHS-EHD will require <br /> the collection of ground water samples If ground water sampling is necessary the following items <br /> will be included <br /> • Each probing will be advanced into ground water One "grab" ground water sample will be <br /> collected from each probe boring using a Geoprobe water sampling assembly <br /> • Grab ground water samples will be transmitted to a State-certified laboratory and analyzed <br /> for TPH-g, TPH-d, TPH-k, BTE&X and MTBE in accordance with the appropriate EPA <br /> methods <br /> • Results of ground water sampling will be included in a technical report <br /> • <br />
