L y
Soil-Gas Vivax I Ligation Work Pian
GREWAL'S MARKET
L4100 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. Rick Grewal of Grewal's Market,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)
has prepared this work plan for the site located at 4100 Fremont Street, Stockton, California(site).
The work plan provides the scope of work and procedures for a soil vapor investigation.The location
Lof the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2.
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD)previsously directed by letter
{dated 12 December 2006) that a work plan should be prepared to evaluate hydrocarbon vapor
intrusion at the site(Appendix E).As a result,this work plan has been prepared in accordance with
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation
of underground storage tanks (UST) sites.
# 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
Due to significant shallow petroleum-impacted soil documented at the site during UST removal
activities (July 1998),the SJCEHD has directed by letter(Appendix E)that the indoor air pathway
be investigated at the above referenced site.Therefore,AGE is proposing to drill and sample six soil
vapor probe borings(P-13 through P-17)at the site to characterize soil vapor intrusion. The scope
of work for soil vapor intriis 6i vivestigation will consist of the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work preparations;
• Geoprobe advancement and soil vapor sample collection;
• Soil vapor sample analysis;
• Review and analysis of soil vapor data and
• Report preparation.
2.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK PREPARATIONS
A site specific health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and
LHealth Guidance Manual far Hazardous Waste Site Activities(National Institute for Occupational
Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,
1985).Prior to mobilization,each proposed soil boring location will be clearly marked and an utility
clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
LAdvanced G"EnvironmenUL Inc.
