This work has been completed per the work plan submitted and verbally
approved by you on November 3, 1994.
Enclosed is the site assessment report on the extent of the soil and groundwater impact.
Analytical results indicate that petroleum hydrocarbons and VOCs are detected in only
one of the ten soil;samples that was collected at 11 to 11.5 feet BGS. This indicates that
the lateral and vertical extent of the impact on soil are veiy limited and localized. No
VOCs and petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in groundwater.
I
Based on the analytical results and analyses, Nestle believes that no further action is
necessary and is requesting a closure. We appreciate all your assistance including a
quick approval of the work plan.
Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at(818) 549-5948.
With Regards,
Binayak P.
