'd —
000
CLEARWATEI
G R O U P
Envirnnrnentnl Services
• Clearwater recommends that the corrective action plan (CAP) be updated for evaluation of
effective source area remediation methods and technologies in the (hot-spot) vicinity of AS-
1 , IW-7, IW-6, and DPW- 1 . In this source area remediation CAP, Clearwater proposes to
update the current remediation strategy based on new information obtained in 2009 during
the production of the Site Conceptual Model and the groundwater remediation rebound test;
the estimate (of pre-remediation sorbed-phase residual source zone contamination) was at
463 gallons of TPH-g. If it is determined that additional remedial approaches will move the
project toward case closure, and the SJEHD concurs, Clearwater will create a remediation
action plan (RAP) for additional focused remediation for submittal to SJEHD.
• On Site meeting of Property Owner, SJEHD and Clearwater staff to agree on strategy for
case closure.
• To test the theory that the soil interval (which is actively leaching the TPH-g) is the 22-25
foot bgs subsurface zone, Clearwater proposes samp mg, on event, at least one So(
well with low-flow technique at two depths . Clearwater proposes using well DPW- 1 for this
fs oLi-, L 2
purpose; well DPW- 1 is screened between 10 and 30 feet bgs. Sampling at 13 (or at least 2
feet below the groundwater level, if the groundwater level is lower than 10 feet bgs) and 23
feet bgs would provide depth discrete information which can substantively guide the future
remediation at this site.
GEOTRACKER
Clearwater uploaded the depth-to-water data spreadsheet known as GEO_WELL to the State of
California GeoTracker website (www. geotracker. swrcb.ca. gov) on October 20, 2009. The
electronic laboratory report (EDF) was also uploaded to the GeoTracker website on October 20,
2009. Confirmations of the submittal of these data electronically to the website are included
(Attachment F) . This report, upon its completion and certification, will be converted into a PDF
file and uploaded to the GeoTracker website per the January 1 , 2005, GEO_REPORT
requirement.
ZB 178N — Barnes Trucking Facility 7 November 2009
Third Quarter 2009 Quarterly Monitoring Report
