To recap what was
discussed during this meeting , the Kinder Morgan representatives were not concerned about the
injections due to their pipeline being 5 feet below surface and the fact that the injections will be below
this level . Their concerns were further alleviated by the fact that Clearwater Group plan to install three
wells, which will allow for observation of injectant migration in the down-gradient direction towards their
pipelines. The planned locations of these three wells were marked out by Clearwater and Kinder
Morgan approved of these locations. Kinder Morgan 's line was said to have not been used since the
early 1980's after the closure of the US Air Force Base, but when it did operate, it carried jet fuel . It
was determined that the closest planned injection point to the Kinder Morgan pipeline is 26 feet. Kinder
Morgan representative Jerry Devore provided information that a 4-inch diameter natural gas line owned
by PG&E is present underground , as is an 8-inch diameter water line . Neither PG&E nor the water
company responsible for the water line were present at this meeting . Finally, installation of a sanitary
sewer clean out was discussed with the Property Owner.
Bart Miller of Comcast called in to our office yesterday and spoke with James Jacobs. Mr. Miller did not
have any comments regarding the use of injection chemicals in the vicinity of Comcast lines.
After the meeting, oxygen bottles were also replaced and maintenance was performed on the existing
iS00 system .
The Third Quarter 2010 Groundwater Monitoring and Remediation System Operations and
Maintenance Report has been completed . We plan to have the report uploaded to Geotracker by the
end of this week.
Best Regards,
Arron Wilder
Project ManagerlProject Geoscientist
Clearwater Group
229 Tewksbury Ave.
Point Richmond, CA 94801
510-307-9943 ext. 236- office
510-590- 1096 - cell
11/3/2010
