N
a Page 2 of 2
N
We are nearly finished with the investigation report that is due to your office for the results of the data that
were collected on April 9th during the limited soil and groundwater investigation . This report should be out
within a week and will include updated cross sections and calculations of the total volume of contaminants,
which are based on the data collected .
i
As you know, this revision of the site conceptual model graphics will be needed so that we can identify any
data gaps prior to developing accurate injection locations on the property and quantities of the injection
chemicals to use for degrading the hydrocarbon contaminants in the soil and water.
So far, it is clear that there are a lot of data gaps and that more soil and groundwater data will be needed
before we can fully design the injection point locations and injection liquid volume - a recommendation will
be provided for the collection of this data in the Limited Soil and Groundwater Investigation Report, which
you will soon receive.
We are also currently editing the bench scale test workplan , which we will provide for you to review and
should be starting the tests as soon as we receive your approval . The lab test timeframe is that we
get results back 2-3 weeks after the start of the tests. Once we get the bench-scale test results back, we
will submit a Bench-Scale Test Results report ,
Following the receipt of your approval of additional delineation borings from which we will produce
the Workplan for the Chemical Injection Remediation , we can get started with the underground injection
well permitting process with the State Water Board .
Next week our Engineer, Erik Lervaag , will be at the property to perform the maintenance on the existing
groundwater remediation system. This maintenance will include re-installing the oxygen line to IW-8 from
the oxygen tank cage. As it is currently planned, he will be there on Thursday and Friday, May 13th and
May 14th .
Thank You ,
Arron Wilder, CPSS #322410
Project ManagerlProject Geoscientist
Clearwater Group
229 Tewksbury Ave.
Point Richmond, CA 94801
510-307-9943 ext. 236- office
510-590- 1096 - cell
5/12/2010
