What were
able to do was complete a line locating and GPR event documenting the location of most of the utilities as far as
we can tell. Because we are still interested in seeing what impact the developer's dewatering activities might
of had on the delineation of the hydrocarbon plume sourcing from the project site, we went ahead and re-mark the
proposed soil boring locations.
I have attached a figure which illustrates the proposed locations for the 4 soil borings. Because our sub-
contractor, (JR Associates) was already on site, I went ahead and had these locations cleared for subsurface
utilities. We have also contacted USA to close the previous drill ticket and request that a new ticket be issued for
the locations as shown on the attached figure. You will notice that there are actually 5 "boxes" which were
surveyed . Mr. Rezowalli (Geophysicist for JR Associates) had some reservations about the location of proposed
soil boring SB- 13 and so we had an area further east cleared as a back up .
That brings us to the purpose of this e-mail . I was wondering if your schedule would allow for us to proceed with
the proposed soil boring event next Friday on May 23, 2008? 1 am double checking with Reid Campbell (City of
Stockton Public Works Department) on whether the time constraints of 9 AM to 3:00 PM still apply since the
location for the drilling as been moved off of South Fresno Avenue. At this point I am going to assume that the
time constraints still apply, therefore we will begin drilling at 9 AM , this is if it is ok with you . Please Advise?
Thanks,
Jessica Moreno
------ProjecC M anager
Clearwater Group
510-590-1096
5/16/2008
