CLEARWATER o <br /> G R O U P RECEYOU <br /> Environmental Services FEB 12 2009 <br /> ENVIRONMENT ,IEALTN <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> February 11 , 2009 <br /> Ms. Lori Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Re: Groundwater Monitoring Program Clarification - First Quarter 2009 <br /> Barnes Trucking Facility <br /> 1817 South Fresno Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> San Joaquin County Site Code No. 2506 <br /> Clearwater Project No. ZB178N <br /> Dear Ms. Duncan: <br /> Clearwater Group (Clearwater) on behalf of Mr. Floyd Barnes, Barnes Trucking is providing the <br /> following response and request for clarification with regard to changes in the groundwater <br /> monitoring program being proposed by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD) in their letter of December 23 , 2008 . <br /> - - This—letter--presents—information-regarding—the—location and installation of a new proposed <br /> monitoring well (MW-9), groundwater sampling protocols, monitoring schedule and the use of <br /> two existing wells, AS- 1 and DPW- 1 , as part of the existing groundwater monitoring program. <br /> (Note: 1 DPW- I has been previously known as SVE- 1 ) . <br /> Lateral Cross-Gradient Well (MW-9) <br /> Clearwater concurs with the EHD with regard to installing an additional monitoring well at the <br /> property. The well will be located to document the lateral and cross-gradient extent of the <br /> groundwater plume to the south. The well will be denoted as MW-9. <br /> Proposed well MW-9 will be installed in accordance with previously approved protocols to an <br /> approximated depth of 20 feet.
