Advanced GeoEnvironmental , Inc . - : 01 February 2012 AGE-NC Project No. 11-2049 Ms. Lori Duncan San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department 600 East Main Street Stockton, CA 95202 Subject: Phase II Site Assessment Work Plan RIPON CARDLOCK PROPERTY 816 Frontage Road, Ripon, California Dear Ms. Duncan: At the request of Ms. Kimberly Nilsson, Advanced Geo Environmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Phase//Site Assessment Work Plan for the property located at 816 Frontage Road, Ripon, California. The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2. This work plan is prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) for procurement of a Drilling Permit. A Well and Boring Permit Application, Master File Record (MFR), and associated fees are attached. Upon EHD approval of the permit package, AGE will schedule field work. AGE will provide EHD with a minimum of 72-hours prior notice for a grout inspection. INTRODUCTION The site is currently occupied by a cardlock fueling station with two underground storage tanks (USTs) and three dispenser islands. In 2002, a piping upgrade was performed at the site. Collection of samples indicated some limited impact to soil at the site. Subsequently, an investigation of the release was performed. Five soil borings were advanced at the site and samples were collected from each boring. Significant contamination was not encountered during the investigation. In 2003, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department provided a"no further action"(closure)letter for the facility. Based upon the UST system at the site, AGE recommends the following scope of work. SCOPE OF WORK AGE proposes to advance a total of seven soil borings at the site.
