SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION PILOT TEST <br /> LARRY'S AUTO REPAIR <br /> 308 North Grant Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr.Charles Skobrak,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared this <br /> soil vapor extraction (SVE) pilot test plan for petroleum release at 308 North Grant Street in <br /> Stockton(the site). <br /> This scope of work is being performed in accordance with San Joaquin County San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) directives and Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites.A-histe ;e4 <br /> U W '13 .oS <br /> J-I- <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK- SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION TEST <br /> To determine the feasibility of remedial options at the site,AGE will perform a soil vapor extraction <br /> (SVE)pilot test. The SVE pilot test will be conducted for an eight-hour period at the site. <br /> For the SVE test, an internal-combustion unit will be used to a 1 a vacuum to VW5A/B. The <br /> induced vacuum will be measured at vapor wells and onitoring wells V W2 through V WS). Soil <br /> vapor concentrations from the extraction well will be measure a In ervals throughout the pilot test. <br /> Four soil vapor samples will also be collected during the pilot test, submitted to a DHS-certified <br /> t laboratory and analyzed for: <br /> Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and diesel (TPH-d) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030; <br /> • Volatile aromatics (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes: BTEX) and Fuel <br /> oxygenates; di-isopropyl ether(DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE), MTBE, tertiary- <br /> amyl methyl ether (TAME) and tertiary butanol (TBA) in accordance with EPA Method <br /> 8260. <br /> Results of the SVE pilot test will be used to determine feasibility options for Corrective Action of <br /> the release of hydrocarbons. <br /> 3.0. PROCEDURES <br /> All field activities will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Professional Geologist.Procedures for the soil vapor sampling and performance of the pilot test and <br /> sample shipment are outlined below. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmenfal,Inc. <br />
