1 <br /> September 17, 1993 <br /> Skobrak Property, Stockton, Califomia <br /> Drilling will be conducted by a State-licensed C57 drilling company using a hollow stem auger <br /> drill ng A field geologist will be present to continuously log all drill cuttings and soil samples <br />' utilizing the Unified Soil Classification System Descriptions of soil types encountered, sample <br /> collection intervals, boring abandonment, and well construction details will be recorded on <br /> well/boring logs to be submitted to PHS/EHD Cored soil samples will be collected at five foot <br /> intervals or changes in lithology <br /> 1 <br /> Soil borings not converted to groundwater monitoring wells will be abandoned by filling the <br /> boring with neat cement To avoid cross-contamination, drilling augers will be steam-cleaned <br /> before drilling each borehole All drill cuttings will be stockpiled on-site, placed on and covered <br /> twith 6 mil plastic sheeting Water used to clean the augers after drilling each boring will be <br />' collected and stored in drums approved for hazardous liquid storage as well as well development <br /> and purgewater Soil cuttings and groundwater will be properly disposed of in a timely and <br /> appropriately manner after reviewing the analytical results and obtaining agency approval. <br /> 4Z.2 Laboratory Analyses - Soil <br /> � o soil samples will be selected f <br /> rom the boring in the center of the former gasoline Tank A <br /> area and one from each proposed monitoring well and submitted for laboratory analysis For <br /> the monitoring well installed near the former diesel tank, up to 5 soil samples will be collected <br />' for analysis Samples will be collected reserved and transported under chain-of-custody <br /> Y P � p � P Y <br />' procedures Soil samples collected in the vicinity of the former gasoline tank (Tank A) will be <br /> analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and total petroleum <br />' hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA methods 8020 and modified 8015, respectively Soil <br /> samples collected from the vicinity of the former diesel and leaded gasoline tanks (Tanks B and <br />' C) will be analyzed for BTEX, TPHg, and total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd), by <br /> EPA methods 8020 and 8015, respectively Collected samples will not be analyzed for organic <br /> WP-0993 DRF 4 <br /> I <br />
