Soil Samples will be taken at 5 toot intervals and all sampies will be covered at each end with Teflon <br /> material capped taped labeled sealed in air-tight plastic bags and placed on ice for delivery to the <br /> laboratory Chain-of-custody information will be recorded for each sample and shipped with the sample <br /> container All soil samples below 5 feet will be analvzed for Total Recoverable Hydrocarbon (TRPH) <br /> using EPA Method 418 1 <br /> Groundwater Quahty Sampling <br /> Groundwater sampling is conducted using a 6-toot long section of decontaminated 314-inch I D <br /> perrorated or slorted galvanized steel probe pipe The perforated probe pipe is connected to five foot <br /> sections of probe pipe as required Decontaminated insert rods are placed through the probe pipe and <br /> pneumatically driven into the aquifer or saturated zone Several development techniques may be used <br /> to encourage flow into the perforated probe. if necessary Groundwater samples will be collected using <br /> decontaminated stainless steel bailers and placed into containers provided by the analvtical laboratory <br /> If clavev conditions are encountered. groundwater samples may be collected in the open borehole The <br /> probe pipe is removed from the ground and the borehole is sealed using Portland cement which will be <br /> pressure grouted as required by San Joaquin Countv <br /> Prior to collecting one round of groundwater samples from each hole for laboratory analvses. <br /> measurements to depth of water will be taken The water samples wall be collected in I litre amber <br /> bottles without headsnace to avoid volatilization. and will be analvzed for Total Recoverable Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbon (TRPH) by EPA Method 418 1 Sample containers will be labeled and chilled on ice <br /> immediately atter collection for delivery to the laboratory Chain-ot-custodv information will be <br /> recoraed for each sample and shipped with the sample container <br /> Following the exploratory work a report will be prepared with the results of the investigation. and if <br /> riecessary recommenaations for additional investization <br /> If N ou have anv further questions dditional information. please contact Trevor Santochi at(714) <br /> 440-7700 S�E�EU ^�o <br /> Respecttully su ed.
