The analysis of
groundwater obtained from the three locations described in our referenced Workplan
detected a trace of tetrachloroethene (PCE) in one sample and lead in another sample.
PCE was detected at a concentration of 3.0 parts-per-billion; lead was measured at
a concentration of 0.19 parts-per-million. No other compounds were detected. The
locations from which the two described samples were obtained are shown on the
attached Exhibit 1 , Utility Plan.
The above data deviate from the findings of others nearby. Based on this and the
inherent limitations of groundwater sampling, confirmation sampling and analysis is
warranted. The existing data, together with confirmation data, should provide an
adequate basis for assessment.
' Raney Geotechnical; "Workplan, Groundwater Sampling and Analysis, Stonebridge Industrial Park,
Lot 8, 1050 Grantline Road, Tracy, California"; November 5, 1991; Raney Job No. 168-011 .01.
3176 INDUSTRIAL BLVD. • WEST SACRAMENTO,CA 95691 • TELEPHONE 916/371-0434 • FAX 916/371-1809
