- Definition of hydrocarbon contamination plume.
Assessment of the potential short- and
long-term impacts of contamination on the
beneficial uses of ground and surface water.
A report presenting the findings and conclusions
from this investigation will be prepared and
submitted to the SJCEHS and RWQCB. The report
will present the conceptual details of the
selected remedial plan, including the estimated
cost and implementation schedule. The format of
the report will follow the 5-step investigative
process and the suggested outline of the RWQCB.
Part 2 -Ground Water Monitoring and Sampling
As required by the regulatory agencies, a quarterly
monitoring and sampling program will be conducted for a
period of at least 12 months or 4 quarters . The need for
further monitoring or other courses of action will be
evaluated at the completion of this monitoring program.
Task 2 . 1: S=ple and Analyze Ground Water
Monitoring and sampling of the ground water shall
be performed for the duration of the investigation
and remediation. At minimum, the wells will be
monitored and sampled for a period of twelve months
after completion of the investigative work.
Sampling and analysis of the ground water will be
performed on a quarterly basis (four quarters ) .
The need for further ground water monitoring and
sampling will be determined based on the results of
the supplemental site investigation.
Each monitoring and sampling event will involve
measurement of fluid levels in the monitoring
wells. Quarterly water samples will be analyzed in
a state-certified laboratory for the same
constituents specified in Task 1 .5. Prior to
collection of samples, each well will be purged
following standard procedures. Purged ground water
will be stored in containers for proper disposal .
Task 2 . 2: R-enare and Submit Report
Results of each monitoring event will be submitted
in a quarterly report.
